Top 10 Tips To Create Change!

Welcome change

Welcome change with open arms!

With the theme of “Welcoming Change” this month, I will be writing the next 10 posts as a series. These are my top 10 tips and techniques that I personally use as well as in my practice to create change in my client’s life. Whether that change is specific to your mind, body or soul, they are all interconnected, in a harmonious concert, and not sabotaging to one another!

So welcome! Please get comfortable, and let’s do some work together over the next couple of weeks.

Are you ready? You must be since you’re reading this post.

The time is certainly right when you find yourself reaching for new books to stimulate ideas, choosing a new mentor or deciding to enter into some type of coaching or counseling. So, I’m so glad you’ve joined me here!

Tip #1:
As I mentioned earlier, change must be brought into your life in all areas of the mind, body and spirit. Have you ever tried to work on just one and not the other? For myself, I know that when I want to lose 10 pounds I can try every diet or eating plan in the world. But if my head and spirit are not in line, it won’t happen.

My thoughts have to be fully committed to the decision of making changes in my body, and then it will flow along with any plan I put into place. But if that decision has not firmly been made in my thinking, I will fudge, sabotage, deny or divert myself with all the distractions that surround life. Making affirmations, clearly writing my thoughts on paper, and telling someone significant in my life the change I want to make are all ways to get my mind and body in concert with the other. But if my spirit is not involved in this process in some manner, then again it will not happen.

How can I get my spirit engaged in this whole process?

When you commit to a period of time each day where you sit within the silence and “feed” your spirit some peace and quiet, the equation is complete. “Feeding” my soul with periods of meditation, beauty, time spent in nature, inspirational music, or motivational books or stimulating readings (such as Lorna Byrne’s Angels In My Hair) are all feasts for the spirit that must also be a part of this change!

Moving your body, mind and spirit into alignment, one with the other with whatever you’re deciding to welcome change about will be your ticket to success. So go for it! Pick a topic or issue from your life that you’re ready to make some changes with, and DECIDE what plan your body, mind and spirit will engage with for all to be in harmony with the other as you do your finest work!

Make sure that all areas are working toward the same successful ending!

Join me tomorrow for Tip #2 on how to “Welcome Change!” Homeostasisdo you know what that means? It is a fascinating topic!
