Petey’s clients refer to her as a warm and caring therapist with a wonderful sense of humor. Through the art of therapeutic reframe with an upbeat edge, Petey helps even the clients who come with the most troublesome issues. She will go the extra mile to help the client pave a healing path. If the office is not suited for anxious teenagers, high-energy children, or an adult craving the warmth of the gentle outdoors, she will adapt with different settings as inspiration for their healing.
Her colleagues describe her as a therapist’s therapist. Petey has worked with many colleagues on their own personal journeys of healing. She employs compassion and creativity designed to help them find their own peace and healing despite the high levels of raw emotion they deal with on a daily basis.
Petey’s career has run the gamut of traditional, cognitively-based psychotherapy to non-traditional, hypnotherapy. She utilizes the latter to work with clients who have fears, anxiety, anger issues, and pain.
